How we can work together

Home / How we can work together

As Divorce Coaching is a relatively new discipline, you may have questions about the process and how it works. Below please find answers to some common questions you may have regarding how we would work together. Should you have any other questions, please contact me via email or phone.

WHAT DOES A COMPLIMENTARY DISCOVERY SESSION INVOLVE?

Each client is given a 30-minute complimentary Discovery Session during which time I can hear in your own words what your current situation is and understand what you want to accomplish. I will listen to your concerns and assess if/how coaching can help you. It is the time for us to start building a relationship and for you to evaluate whether or not you think divorce coaching will be beneficial to you.

You can book your Discovery Session via email or by calling 203.767.3147.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONNECT FOR OUR SESSIONS?

Due to the logistics of today’s busy lives, I work with clients in a number of different ways:
– In person
– Over the phone
– Via Facetime or Skype

In order for coaching to be effective, it is not necessary to meet in person or even be in the same state. The other options are equally effective in building a relationship and accomplishing your goals. Communicating via phone, Facetime or Skype allows me to work closely with clients no matter where they live or may be traveling.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

As divorce entails many issues, coaching is more effective if conducted over a block of sessions. To that end, you can book one-hour sessions in blocks of one, three or five sessions, with five-session blocks offering the greatest value. Of course, many clients will need to meet more than five times and if so, you may purchase additional blocks based on your needs. At your Discovery Session, we can review the fees and discuss how many sessions may be realistic to accomplish your goals.

WHAT WILL WE ACCOMPLISH IN EACH SESSION?

My coaching approach is very practical and goal-oriented. At each session, we will focus on exploring the biggest concerns that you have, understanding the outcomes that are most important to you and identifying the obstacles you may be facing. At the end of each session, you will walk away with an “action plan” to tackle or get started on before our next session.

ARE YOU REACHABLE IN AN EMERGENCY?

Because of the trying circumstances and guidance and support needed when going through a divorce, I make myself available to my clients between sessions. I always am available via email or text for questions and trouble-shooting and if necessary, we can arrange a phone call when needed.
